Practice Areas – Mr. Garcia is the founder of the firm. With over twenty years experience as a litigator and counselor, Mr. Garcia has represented clients at all stages of trials, appeals, and arbitrations. He has broad experience in diverse areas of the law, including commercial litigation, white-collar criminal defense, compliance and investigations, as well as intellectual property litigation and counseling. Mr. Garcia frequently counsels senior corporate executives on corporate governance, executive compensation, and employment matters. He has served as lead counsel for both companies and individuals in complex commercial disputes in numerous disciplines, including construction law, healthcare law, private equity investment disputes, legal malpractice claims, and government contracts.
In his criminal practice, Mr. Garcia represents clients in all phases of federal government investigations, including significant experience in Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, federal campaign finance, and federal bribery investigations.
Mr. Garcia also represents clients in compliance matters and investigations worldwide, with particular expertise in the developing world. A fluent Spanish speaker, Mr. Garcia has led anti-fraud and corruption efforts for public-sector entities throughout Central and South America. He also has substantial experience in international litigation and arbitration for U.S. corporations with Latin American interests. Additionally, Mr. Garcia has served as an independent compliance monitor for the World Bank Group on behalf of a major African multinational company.
As part of his intellectual property practice, Mr. Garcia counsels clients in patent disputes and litigation, has represented major corporations in trademark litigation in federal district courts and in TTAB proceedings, and provides brand-management counseling to Fortune 500 companies and technology companies.
Background – After graduating from Columbia University, Mr. Garcia attended the University of Texas School of Law where he graduated in 1995 with honors. Previously, Mr. Garcia practiced at Williams & Connolly LLP and co-founded Aegis Law Group LLP in Washington, D.C.
Mr. Garcia has appeared in state and federal courts from New York to California. He is admitted to practice in numerous federal district and appellate courts and is a member of the bars of the State of Texas, the District of Columbia, and the Commonwealth of Virginia.
